ECO Tuning differs from traditional performance modification in that the engine's efficiency is the priority. Optimizing software to increase torque at a lower RPM for lower revs under load which will result in lower fuel consumption.
How is this done? The existing software is taken from the vehicle's computer box and professionally reprogrammed with various parameters such as fuel quantity, injection, timing and boost pressure being better coordinated.
Tractor tuning can increase torque up to 30%, yeilding up to 20% more horsepower which could result in 5 to 15% fuel savings simply by shifting the torque curve.
